VALORANT callout terms

What is Heaven in VALORANT?

Heaven is the callout for a raised spot that overlooks a bombsite, usually reachable only from the defender side. A player in Heaven sees the whole plant from above, so attackers smoke or clear it before planting. Hell is the low spot directly under Heaven.

Why is it called Heaven?

The name comes from Counter-Strike. On Nuke, the walkway high above the A site is called Heaven and the floor under it is Hell. VALORANT players kept both words, so any high ledge over a site became Heaven and the corner beneath it Hell, whatever the game's own minimap calls it.

What is Hell?

Hell is the low spot right under Heaven. Because a player in Hell is below the attackers' eye line and close to the plant, it's a classic hiding spot. Attackers clear Heaven and Hell together, since a defender in either one sees the default plant.

Heaven or Haven?

Haven is a VALORANT map, the one with three sites. Heaven is a callout. Haven has its own Heaven too: the A Tower over A site, with A Hell tucked under it.

Playing Heaven

As a defender, Heaven is strong while the attackers don't know you're there: you see the whole site and drop down for the retake. As an attacker, smoke or flash Heaven before stepping onto site and check Hell before planting.
