VALORANT map callouts

PearlCallouts

Pearl is a two-site map where nearly every attacker and defender route runs through Mid, so controlling the central plaza decides most rotations. The A side is a cluster of tight corners with Art, Main and Dugout as the main entries, while B is wider, with a ramp-and-main approach and an elevated Tower that overlooks the site. Defenders leave from a spawn area fed by a water route that reaches both Mid and the sites.

All 28 Pearl callouts

Every spot on Pearl with the name to call it, what else players call it and what it's for. 26 of them are the names VALORANT shows on the minimap; the rest are community callouts you'll hear in ranked and pro comms.

Pearl A site callouts

A ArtAlso called ArtA walled-in gallery area between Mid Plaza and A Link whose only entrance from mid is through Mid Top, so players call it when the attackers are taking the flank toward A.
A DugoutAlso called DugoutA corner inside A Site beside the boxes that is hard to clear in a straight duel, which is why attackers usually clear it early with A Main.
A FlowersAlso called FlowersAn A Site zone on the far side of the Secret opening, separated from it by a window, and a common target for wall smokes from mid.
A LinkThe stair-up entry on A that opens into the site once Art is cleared, so its top is a standard smoke target when pushing.
A MainThe main entrance onto A Site, which attackers move through with a push and defenders watch for flanks, and which is often walled off from Mid Doors.
A RestaurantAn area close to A Site and A Main that attackers use as a staging point before committing to the site.
A SecretAlso called SecretAn opening inside A Site beside A Tower and A Flowers, and the wall target most often used from Mid Plaza to block the junction shared with A Link.
A SiteThe A bomb site itself, the area where the spike is planted, entered from A Main and A Link.

Pearl B site callouts

B ClubThe club building on the attacker side of B, between attacker spawn and B Ramp, where B pushes are set up.
B CubbyCommunityAlso called CubbyA small nook along B Main where a defender can wait for attackers pushing through the lane.
B HallAlso called BacksiteA corridor on the B side between B Tower, B Link and the site that holds a cubby, which defenders use for angles on B Link and the long plant spot.
B LinkA passage on B that sits beside B Main and B Hall, and is the safer retake entry for defenders because a player in B Main can cover it.
B MainThe wide main entrance to B Site, which needs two smokes for a full execute and is the approach most attackers take first.
B RampThe ramp onto B Site on the opposite side from B Main, where a corner between the two is a common camping spot for defenders.
B ScreenAlso called ScreensThe cover area inside B Site, a pocket behind a screen where spikes get planted and defenders reposition, which is covered by a wall from Mid Connector along with B Tower and B Hall.
B SiteThe B bomb site, reached through B Main or B Ramp and bordered by B Hall, B Tower and the screen pocket.
B TowerAlso called HeavenAn elevated position over the B side with a single climb-up access point and long sightlines, from which defenders hold the site and attackers smoke and flash it clear.
B TunnelA split route into B Site that attackers use when they have only one smoke, giving an alternative to pushing through B Main.

Pearl mid callouts

Mid ConnectorA passage in mid linking the mid doors, A Link and the defender-side water, which supports rotations between the sites and is the origin of the wall smoke toward B Screen.
Mid DoorsThe door entrance on the mid side that A Main and A Link can be walled off from, making it the common setup point for blocking the A entry.
Mid MarketCommunityAlso called MarketThe market area at the attacker end of mid, between Mid Top and A Restaurant.
Mid PlazaAlso called PlazaThe central hub of mid that opens rotation paths to both sites, and the spot where players place early smokes to deny attacker sightlines onto A Secret and A Flowers.
Mid ShopsA group of mid spaces where defenders throw an early smoke to deny attackers vision of the central lanes.
Mid TopThe upper mid entrance and the only way into A Art, so players use it to flag enemies pushing from the attacker side toward the flank.

Pearl attacker side callouts

Attacker Side SpawnThe attackers' starting room, the point every early rotation toward Mid and both sites begins from.

Pearl defender side callouts

Defender Side RecordsAlso called Records, B RecordsA spot on the defender side with two boxes nearby that players stand at when lobbing a molly onto B Site.
Defender Side SpawnAlso called Defender SpawnThe defenders' starting area, which a Killjoy turret can cover to spot approaches and which lurkers use to get information and flank.
Defender Side WaterAlso called Waters, Mid WaterThe water route between Defender Spawn and Mid that also gives access toward both sites, so attackers can rotate through it for a surprise push onto B.

Not on the minimap

Pearl community callouts

Names you'll hear in ranked and pro comms that the game itself doesn't print. They're usually props or corners inside a bigger area, so they let a call be more exact than the minimap allows.

  • B CubbyB Site

    Also called Cubby

A small nook along B Main where a defender can wait for attackers pushing through the lane.

  • Mid MarketMid

    Also called Market

The market area at the attacker end of mid, between Mid Top and A Restaurant.

Area by area

Know every corner of Pearl

A Site

8 callouts
  1. 01Smoke the Secret and Flowers opening from Mid Plaza before the push, since most flank peeks come through that window.
  2. 02Clear Dugout early and in the same push as A Main so the hard corner is not left for a late defender to hold.
  3. 03Lurk or Sage-wall Art from Mid Top before committing, because Art has a single entrance and one player there can cut off the flank.

B Site

10 callouts
  1. 01Expect a defender camp in the B Main and B Ramp corner, and clear it with a grenade before stepping into the open.
  2. 02Use B Tunnel as a split when you only have one smoke, so you are not forced to spend both smokes on B Main.
  3. 03Smoke B Tower and clear B Hall before planting, and keep an eye on B Link since it is the defenders' safest retake route.

Mid

6 callouts
  1. 01Get an early presence on Mid Plaza, because whoever holds it controls the rotation paths to both sites.
  2. 02Take Mid Top early, since it is the only way into Art and blocking it stops the flank before it starts.
  3. 03Use Mid Connector and Mid Doors as wall-smoke origins to cut sightlines onto B Screen and A Main from a distance.

FAQ

Pearl callouts, answered.

What are the callouts on Pearl?

Pearl has 28 common callouts. A Site: A Art, A Dugout, A Flowers, A Link, A Main, A Restaurant, A Secret and A Site. B Site: B Club, B Cubby, B Hall, B Link, B Main, B Ramp, B Screen, B Site, B Tower and B Tunnel. Mid: Mid Connector, Mid Doors, Mid Market, Mid Plaza, Mid Shops and Mid Top.

How many sites does Pearl have?

Pearl has 2 bomb sites (A Site and B Site).

Which Pearl callouts are not shown in the game?

B Cubby and Mid Market are community names. The game's own callout text doesn't use them, but players and pros say them all the time.

Where is A Art on Pearl?

A walled-in gallery area between Mid Plaza and A Link whose only entrance from mid is through Mid Top, so players call it when the attackers are taking the flank toward A.

Where is A Dugout on Pearl?

A corner inside A Site beside the boxes that is hard to clear in a straight duel, which is why attackers usually clear it early with A Main.

Where is A Flowers on Pearl?

An A Site zone on the far side of the Secret opening, separated from it by a window, and a common target for wall smokes from mid.

Where is A Link on Pearl?

The stair-up entry on A that opens into the site once Art is cleared, so its top is a standard smoke target when pushing.

Are these Pearl callouts official?

26 of them are: they're the names VALORANT itself prints on the Pearl minimap. The other 2 are community names that players and pros use but the game doesn't show; they're marked Community.

How do I see callout names in the game?

VALORANT shows the name of the area you're in under the minimap, and a location ping shows the callout name of the spot you pinged, so your team hears and sees the same word.

Are VALORANT callouts translated into other languages?

Partly. In some languages the game translates a few minimap names (Spanish shows "Árbol" for Tree, for example), while names like Main and Lobby stay in English. Most teams use the English names in comms.

How do I learn callouts fast?

Open the map above, switch to the side you're playing, then hit Test yourself. The quiz lights up one spot at a time and asks for its name, so a few rounds of it is enough to know the map before you queue.
