VALORANT map callouts

LotusCallouts

Lotus has three sites (A, B and C) linked by rotating doors on the A and C sides, plus a breakable wall between A Main and A Link that opens a shortcut toward B Site. Movement tools include a quiet drop from A Top and rope ascenders, so attackers often split routes while defenders rotate through the spawn area.

Lotus A site callouts

A DoorThe rotating door between A Main and A Rubble. Attackers use it as a quick shortcut onto A Site, and defenders can push through it to surprise attackers in A Rubble.
A DropAlso called Silent DropA drop reached from A Top that lands inside A Site.
A HutAlso called HutA wall structure inside A Site that, together with the surrounding walls, forms a small maze.
A LinkA Link is on the A side and is reached from A Main through the breakable wall.
A LobbyAn attacker-side area on the approach to A, one of the lanes attackers can take at round start.
A MainThe long-range duel lane leading onto A Site. Most A fights happen here, and the breakable wall to A Link sits along it.
A RootAlso called RootPart of the A Root and A Rubble round-start lane. Defenders who push through A Door can catch attackers standing here by surprise.
A RubbleAlso called RubbleThe area reached through A Door from A Main.
A SiteThe A plant area, enclosed by the walls around A Hut. It is called out to mark the spike or enemies that have moved inside.
A StairsA risky push route into A Site that can flank toward A Top.
A TopA high flank point reached from A Stairs, and the spot where players walk silently to A Drop.
A TreeAlso called TreeAn entry route into A Site reached through a swinging door. Defenders often hold near it at the back of the site, so it is called out for holds and entries.

Lotus B site callouts

B MainA narrow corridor leading into B Site that both teams use as the direct path.
B PillarsAlso called PillarsOne of the round-start lanes that leads toward B Site past the pillars.
B SiteA compact site with a central pillar that gives cover, and defenders gain an advantage from its high ground.
B UpperAlso called UpperPlayers use it for splits and to warn of a flank from above.

Lotus C site callouts

C BendA bend on the route into C Site.
C DoorThe rotating door on the C side that connects to C Main and C Mound.
C ElbowCommunityAlso called ElbowThe bend at the bottom of C Site where C Main turns onto the site, a close angle on anyone walking in.

C HallA passage on the defender side of C Site, part of its multi-level layout.
C LinkA defender-side passage on C Site that connects toward the other sites.
C LobbyOne of the round-start lanes for attackers. Attackers here can hit defenders who take C Main while the C door is active.
C MainThe attackers' main route into C Site. Defenders who hold it can be hit from C Lobby and B Main when the rotating door opens.
C MoundAlso called MoundA C-side area reached through a rotating door from C Main. Players use it for flanks and splits.
C SiteA larger, multi-level maze holding C Waterfall, C Hall and C Link.
C WaterfallAlso called WaterfallAn elevated defender position on C Site near C Platform. Defenders hold it to control the site.

Not on the minimap

Lotus community callouts

Names you'll hear in ranked and pro comms that the game itself doesn't print. They're usually props or corners inside a bigger area, so they let a call be more exact than the minimap allows.

Area by area

Know every corner of Lotus

A Site

12 callouts
  1. 01Attackers: clear A Main with utility before pushing, since the breakable wall to A Link gives a second entry and defenders can break it to flank.
  2. 02Attackers: smoke the stairs and A Cubby first, then push A Tree with two players and send the rest in once the tree is secured.
  3. 03Defenders: hold A Tree and check A Drop for flanks from A Top. If the A Link wall breaks, expect pressure coming through A Main.

B Site

4 callouts
  1. 01Attackers: push B Main and B Upper together and watch A Link and C Link, since rotations from either side reach B quickly.
  2. 02Attackers: smoke the back of B so defenders cannot hold B Default Box, then post-plant behind the central pillar.
  3. 03Defenders: hold near the central pillar for cover, delay with utility on B Main, and call rotations early because B is hard to retake once attackers get crossfires.

C Site

11 callouts
  1. 01Attackers: smoke Waterfall and C Link to block the elevated defender spot, then use the C Mound door for a split while the rest enter C Main.
  2. 02Attackers: watch C Lobby before entering C Main, since defenders there can hit you when the C door is active.
  3. 03Defenders: a single player in C can gather info and fall back for a retake. Rotate through the defender spawn rather than the loud C door.

How do I see callout names in the game?

VALORANT shows the name of the area you're in under the minimap, and a location ping shows the callout name of the spot you pinged, so your team hears and sees the same word.
