VALORANT map callouts

SummitCallouts

Summit is a two-site, three-lane 5v5 map set in a Radiant training academy, with Mid acting as the central hub that links both bombsites through Mid Fountain. Three droppable walls, one each at A Site, Mid and B Site, are triggered by shooting nearby switches and then stay closed for the rest of the round, so rotations can change partway through a round. A Site is the smaller bombsite and needs more defensive calls, while B Site is larger and has elevated defender positions.

All 24 Summit callouts

Every spot on Summit with the name to call it, what else players call it and what it's for. 24 of them are the names VALORANT shows on the minimap; the rest are community callouts you'll hear in ranked and pro comms.

Summit A site callouts

A ArtThe art room on the defender side of A, between A Hall and A Cave, a hold and rotation spot behind the site.
A CaveA side pocket that a push coming down A Main can branch into, alongside the routes toward A Garden and A Site.
A GardenAlso called GardenAn open, close-angle stretch on the approach to A Site, reached from A Main, that teams usually clear before planting.
A HallThe hallway on the defender side of A that links mid to A Art.
A LinkThe connector between Mid and A Site, reached through Mid Bend or Mid Fountain, giving a quick second route from Mid onto A.
A LobbyAn attacker-side area fed directly from the attacker spawn that gives access to A Site.
A MainThe main attacking route toward A Site, which branches into A Garden and A Cave.
A SiteThe smaller of the two bombsites; holding it takes more defensive calls than holding B Site.

Summit B site callouts

B DropThe drop at the far back of B Site, a one-way way down onto the site.
B GymThe gym on the defender side of B behind B Tower, the rotation route from defender spawn to B.
B LinkThe connector from Mid Bottom to B Site, and the main B-side route out of Mid.
B LobbyAn attacker-side area fed by the attacker spawn that gives access to B Site.
B MainThe main attacking route toward B Site.
B SiteThe larger bombsite, with simpler callouts than A Site and a defender-side droppable wall that changes how it plays.
B TowerThe raised tower at the back of B Site, a high angle over the plant and the B Main entrance.
B TrophyA deeper B-side defensive area that holds up for retakes; teams smoke or clear it before settling post-plant.

Summit mid callouts

Mid BendA passage leading from Mid toward A Link, reached from the Mid Fountain area.
Mid BottomThe lower Mid section that feeds B Link and Mid Window, important for B splits and retakes.
Mid FountainAlso called FountainThe central junction in Mid where routes split toward either site.
Mid TilesThe tiled walkway between mid and B Lobby, a rotation path from mid toward B.
Mid TopThe upper Mid section that feeds Mid Tiles, Mid Fountain, Mid Bend and Mid Bottom, and that attackers enter Mid through.
Mid WindowAn opening off Mid Bottom used for lurks and information plays on the B side of Mid.

Summit attacker side callouts

Attacker Side SpawnAlso called Attacker SpawnThe attacker spawn, which feeds straight into both A Lobby and B Lobby.

Summit defender side callouts

Defender Side SpawnAlso called Defender SpawnThe defender spawn at the bottom center of the map, connecting to both sites.

Area by area

Know every corner of Summit

A Site

8 callouts
  1. 01Clear Garden and the close angles before committing to a push, since the site is small and fights happen fast.
  2. 02Use utility on the CT Boxes angle before going in, because defenders tend to hold those spots tightly.
  3. 03When defending, remember the A Wall can cut off the escape route you were counting on once it drops.

B Site

8 callouts
  1. 01Clear Close Box and the deeper B-side angles before planting, since they can punish a plant.
  2. 02Watch for a silent flank from B Drop and B Tower when you are on the B side.
  3. 03Time the B Wall drop around executes so defenders cannot rotate through that route.

Mid

6 callouts
  1. 01Take Mid Fountain before committing to a site, because it lets you rotate to either side.
  2. 02Keep at least one player watching Mid each round so attackers cannot easily split pressure.
  3. 03Use Mid Window for lurks and information plays rather than standing in the open.

FAQ

Summit callouts, answered.

What are the callouts on Summit?

Summit has 24 common callouts. A Site: A Art, A Cave, A Garden, A Hall, A Link, A Lobby, A Main and A Site. B Site: B Drop, B Gym, B Link, B Lobby, B Main, B Site, B Tower and B Trophy. Mid: Mid Bend, Mid Bottom, Mid Fountain, Mid Tiles, Mid Top and Mid Window.

How many sites does Summit have?

Summit has 2 bomb sites (A Site and B Site).

Where is A Art on Summit?

The art room on the defender side of A, between A Hall and A Cave, a hold and rotation spot behind the site.

Where is A Cave on Summit?

A side pocket that a push coming down A Main can branch into, alongside the routes toward A Garden and A Site.

Where is A Garden on Summit?

An open, close-angle stretch on the approach to A Site, reached from A Main, that teams usually clear before planting.

Where is A Hall on Summit?

Are these Summit callouts official?

24 of them are: they're the names VALORANT itself prints on the Summit minimap. All of the Summit callouts here are the official ones.

How do I see callout names in the game?

VALORANT shows the name of the area you're in under the minimap, and a location ping shows the callout name of the spot you pinged, so your team hears and sees the same word.

Are VALORANT callouts translated into other languages?

Partly. In some languages the game translates a few minimap names (Spanish shows "Árbol" for Tree, for example), while names like Main and Lobby stay in English. Most teams use the English names in comms.

How do I learn callouts fast?

Open the map above, switch to the side you're playing, then hit Test yourself. The quiz lights up one spot at a time and asks for its name, so a few rounds of it is enough to know the map before you queue.
