VALORANT map callouts

CorrodeCallouts

Corrode is a three-lane, two-site map set in a fortified castle town, with a lot of verticality, many thin walls, and tight off-angles. The mid lane links both bombsites through a staircase section and a window overlooking the lane, so controlling it gives teams split options. Each site has a main entrance, a fallback area, and elevated positions that reward careful utility use.

All 22 Corrode callouts

Every spot on Corrode with the name to call it, what else players call it and what it's for. 21 of them are the names VALORANT shows on the minimap; the rest are community callouts you'll hear in ranked and pro comms.

Corrode A site callouts

A BoxCommunityAlso called BoxesThe boxes on A Site by the plant area, cover for a planter and for a defender holding the site.
A CraneAn A-side entrance that defenders commonly use, reached through the defender-side route, so players call it when a fight starts at that door into A.
A ElbowAlso called ElbowA bend on the A-side approach near Yard and Pocket that both teams fight over, since holding it keeps a fallback spot on the site.
A LinkThe corridor connecting A to Mid. Both sides contest it, and control of it often decides whether A can be taken or held.
A LobbyThe outer area that leads toward A from the attacker side.
A MainThe main attacker entrance into A. Early pushes here are often less valuable because defenders can fall back, so players call it when someone takes that entrance.
A PocketA nook on the A side, next to Elbow, that attackers clear on the safer route into A.
A SiteThe A bombsite area itself, covering the planting zone and the positions around it, so players use it for the whole site.
A YardThe open area attackers reach after passing A Main or A Link. Teams usually want to control it before planting, and it is a common flash point.

Corrode B site callouts

B ArchAn entrance into B on the defender-side route, comparable to A Crane on the A side.
B ElbowA bend on the B approach that both teams want to hold. It is one of the few fallback spots on B, so players call it when deciding a post-plant hold.
B LinkThe connecting route from Mid into B and a common pivot point.
B LobbyThe outer area on the B side whose edges matter for flanks during a round, similar in role to A Lobby.
B MainThe main entrance into B and the usual front-door attacker push.
B SiteThe B bombsite area itself. It is compact and tends to be held from elevated angles.
B TowerAlso called TowerAn elevated position overlooking B. Defenders can use it to re-enter the site after losing control, so players call it when it is taken or smoked.

Corrode mid callouts

Mid BottomAlso called Bottom MidThe lower section of Mid nearest the attacker side, which attackers often take first before pushing further into the lane.
Mid StairsAlso called StairsA staircase in the mid lane between Mid Bottom and Mid Top. Control there gives attackers a quick pivot into A.
Mid TopAlso called Top Mid, Mid-TopThe upper section of Mid, between Mid Stairs and Mid Window. Control there gives a quick pivot toward B.
Mid WindowA window spot overlooking the mid lane, next to Mid Top.

Corrode attacker side callouts

Attacker Side SpawnThe attackers' starting area. Players reference it as the origin of the route out toward A through the A Lobby.

Corrode defender side callouts

Defender Side SpawnAlso called Defender SpawnThe defenders' starting area and the origin of their rotations. It is also a route for mid-round pivots toward A Crane.

Corrode community callouts

Names you'll hear in ranked and pro comms that the game itself doesn't print. They're usually props or corners inside a bigger area, so they let a call be more exact than the minimap allows.

Area by area

Know every corner of Corrode

A Site

9 callouts
  1. 01Take Yard before planting. It is the open area attackers reach after A Main or A Link, and splitting pressure through Link and Main is a common way to get there.
  2. 02Clearing Pocket and Elbow gives attackers a fallback position to hold after the plant.
  3. 03As defenders, contest A Link early. Holding Elbow keeps some control of the site when the attackers push ground.

B Site

7 callouts
  1. 01Take Mid before committing to B, then combine a Main push with a pivot from Mid through B Link.
  2. 02B Elbow is one of the few fallback spots on B, so the team that wins it usually controls the post-plant hold.
  3. 03As defenders, B Tower is the way back in after losing the site. The narrow entries and elevated angles also favor a holding defense.

Mid

4 callouts
  1. 01Contest Mid early. Control of the lane opens split options to both sites, so it is the main priority for either side.
  2. 02Attackers often start with a 1-3-1 setup, clear Mid Bottom first, then push through Mid Stairs toward Mid Top.
  3. 03Mid Stairs gives a quick pivot into A and Mid Top gives one into B. Defenders should keep one player on the fast mid rotate and watch the lane's extremities.

How do I see callout names in the game?
